The Sensex ended at 17715.22, up

The Bombay Stock Exchange's Sensex pulled back from day's low and closed comfortably in the positive terrain led by gains in realty, capital goods, metals and banking stocks.

The Sensex ended at 17715.22, up 110.26 points or 0.63 per cent. The 30-share index touched a high of 17829.72 and low of 17595.10 in trade so far.

The National Stock Exchange's Nifty closed at 5363.25, up 37.40 points or 0.70 per cent. The broader index touched a high of 5390.05 and low of 5327.25 intraday.

BSE Midcap Index was up 1.31 per cent and BSE Smallcap Index moved 1.51 per cent higher.

Amongst the sectoral indices, BSE Realty Index moved 4.05 per cent higher, BSE Capital Goods Index gained 2.03 per cent and BSE Metal Index was up 1.76 per cent. BSE Healthcare Index was 0.27 per cent lower.
